I think there is combination of several facts: SLT mirror being the biggest one, difference in colour filter and image processing account for some (just look the difference between RX1 and D600), some also suspect on-sensor PDAF might have some play as well. Personally I am use to Sony/Minolta's approach to the colour tone (richer?) if that cause some high ISO noise I am prepared to deal with it.
Can't rich color just be reproduced in post, without the added noise? I shoot raw, and there seems to be nothing PS can't do with color.
