Would a video of people surviving horrific accidents convince you to give it a go . As I posted above there are numerous videos of people doing lots of crazy stuff to their respective gear . The problem is that if you damage the camera in any way doing them you will absolutely not be covered by the warranty of any camera. Personally I have never had any photographic equipment from any maker weatherproof or not fail due to weather alone. I shoot regularly in all sorts of weather , rain, hail , sleet and snow ,I have shot in everything from minus 20 in snow covered mountains here in Scotland to desert conditions in Egypt and Tunisia .

There are stories of cameras from all makers surviving extreme conditions and on the other hand stories of cameras failing in less extreme conditions . I certainly wouldn't use youtube videos as my source of reliable ingress data

Jim

I like Mark's work, for his kind of fotography he relies on the gear he can trust, if I have to do the same kind of work he does, I will definetly use his experience as a source of reliable ingress data.

Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now. Bob Dylan
