There was a time when the out-of centre Milton Keynes store sold s/h items, and I visited the store every week, and rarely came away without buying something or even several items - plus very often something else from their new stock.  After they ceased selling s/h items, I think I've visited the shop just twice.  I search web sites instead.

When visiting their shop, I never noticed any bias to Canon which is the make I've used for nearly 20 years.  I did feel that they were pushing Sony DSLRs!

And, I'm old enough to have visited their Leicester headquarters when they had their first clearance sale back in the 1970s - in the days when their stock list was printed very small on a sheet of news-print.

It's a great pity that they over-extended themselves with the inevitable consequences.
