How to Take Non-EVF Portrait Oriented Photos With Olympus OM-D EM-5
Jan 9, 2013

I want to get an Olympus OM-D EM-5 for it's small size and relative IQ as well as the excellent in-camera IS.  I have an EPL3 now but I would like to get the extra stop of low light as well as a built-in EVF.

With the EPL3 I have some frustration taking portrait orientation photos due to the LCD only folding down.  It appears the OM-D has the same.  How to you take portrait oriented photos with it and not have to look in the EVF always.  I have the Panasonic G5 and like the flip out and articulating since I can easily hold it at chest level in portrait orientation and look down into the LCD.  The G5 is missing in-camera IS which to me is major.  I could wait for the Olympus E-7 but that will likely be next Christmas.
