I purcahsed it from jessops and had some problems so now im waiting for amazon to get it in stock, which doesnt seem to be happening. I am now thinkign about picking up the body only and waiting for the 16-50mm to go down in price. (is this likely to drop to £350??)Lenses rarely go down in price. The reason for this is that lenses are normally not superseded by a newer model. This is especially for fast higher-end lenses such as the 16-50mm f2.8; probably only super-zooms see new regular "upgrades".
On the plus side, most photographers will use a good lens for over 5 years and maybe 10 years. Keeping that in mind, the devaluation of the lens is very small.
