New Nikon 24mp sensor (D5200) is made by.... Toshiba! New kid on the block?

IMHO it's just a business decision, Toshiba is a competent manufacturer and most likely offered a sensor similar to Sony's for a lower price. I said similar to, not better than or same as...!

Anyway, I believe Sony has their hands full in supplying a multitude of sensor models to all its customers. I also hope Sony starts thinking of keeping at least some of their best for themselves first, as already said.
