In reality, the US $1300 should equate to about £800 ... so Fuji are still exacting a £300 UK premium at £1099. And the original X100 is still retailing for about 50% of that figure, so can't see it dropping much more ...

Actually, it's $1299+ tax as is everything in the US

£1099 is £916 ex vat so pretty close, no?

Just come back from NY where the tax is 9% approx (actually 8.875 combined sales & use)

That makes it $1450 or so ... that's about £900 inclusive.

Most of the big retailers technically ship from zero, non-tax states, so that $1299 still = £800.

With family in the States I know what they pay typically for goods n services. Oddly the old X100 is a very rare exception to the rule ... as I confirmed on a recent visit to B&H whilst in Manhattan.
