Who would say? I wonder if this was a Nikon or Sony decision? What does this mean for Sony?

The division that makes the image sensor is a separate part of Sony. They will sign a contract with whomever is willing to buy. Why would they want to turn away business? Sony has contracts with other companies, and may even get Nikon to buy future sensors.

They only company that is forced to buy from Sony, is Sony.

I am not sure that's fully the case. I am sure if the competition was making better sensor than what you can make, why not use the better sensor; like how Panasonic who too makes sensor is now using a Sony sensor for their flagship GH3.

You could be right about that. Sony has gone from a company that liked being on top, to one that is looking for new opportunities. Look at what happened with their TV division. There were reports that they would buy their HDTV screens from one of the Korean companies.
