TLL is useful with umbrella?

Hi,

I have 580EX II flash. I am thinking about buying wireless flash trigger (with/without TLL function).

Yongnuo YN-622C Wireless E-TTL Flash Trigger (80$)

or

no name Flash RT-16 16 Trigger (20$)

But I don't know if TLL is useful when combined with umbrella.

Does people use manual mode with umbrella?
