IQ is most likely better because fz200 is at par only with hs30.

Unproven. There are no proper tests and your anecdotal posts of bad examples are no substitute at all, in fact they are ridiculous.

No constant aperture of course but you will get faster aperture at around 600mm which is likely to be only half stop less than f/2.8 ( not confirmed yet but a possibility).

So you think that the aperture at 600mm will only have increased from 2.8 to 3.5?

With hs30, you will get f/4.5 at around 380mm so you think aperture will be stuck at f5.6 starting at 700mm?

What sort of hallucination does one need to have to make that kind of assumption?

Facts and analysis based on the previoud hs models.

And the most important of course is the unmatched excellent manual zoom of hs50

Manual, electronic ... yawn.

Buzzz for your toy. 4-5 sec wait. Yawn....

plus faster and better AF

We shall see.

and STS times.

We shall see.

EVF is slightly bigger than fz200 so another plus.

Bigger does not mean better. Again, we shall see.

Manual focs,

How does that help? With an EVF of the quality that Fuji typically includes, there is no way that MF is going to compete in accuracy with CDAF.

Manual focus ring on the lens is better than lousy buttons in front of you.

focus peaking,

Only useful when manually focusing ... and if you check out some of the writings on the net, it is not considered useful for critical focus. So how does it help with a 1000mm zoom? Answer ... it doesn't.

Focus peaking on the X20 would be a whole 'nother story ...

electronic level,

Useful when shooting architecture. Not much of a call for that at 1000mm ... but it might be useful around the ocean.

eye sensor.

Yeah ... truly innovative.

So tons of advantages if you choose hs50.

Mostly in your mind. While I am pulling for Fuji here and I expect to get one to review in spring, it is premature to declare a winner on a camera that is 3 months away from shipping ... in fact it is ludicrous.

Most of it are carried away from hs30 already

I cannot find a serious reason why you would get fz200 now.

If he wants a camera now, then he has to choose the HS30 or the FZ200. Or a mirrorless cam with 2 lens kit or all in one lens, but he seems uninterested in that path.

So there may very well be a reason to buy the FZ200 right now. A 2 stop aperture advantage is nothing to sneeze at. And there is no way that the HS50 is going to be "almost constant" as you seem to be hallucinatingpredicting ...

Right hs30 if you can't wait.
