ColorEfex Pro 4 is GPU acclerated and will quickly use more than 1GB of VRAM if it is available. Further, CEP4 uses its own swap file independant of PS scratch. That swapfile is generally in one of the user's folders on the system drive and is not assignable to another drive unless it is mounted as a folder:
