I like my 35f2 btw for the price - $289. Didn't want to chance the sigma for AF.
So are there known issues with the AF on the Sigma? I just began my research and hadn't heard anything yet, but I'd like to read up on it.
When I was researching for a 30mm prime it came to my attention the 35mm f/2 is a little 'dreamy' wide open, that woud've bothered me. The sigma was very clear with a slight softness in the corners. And it's a bit faster too and has a nice focus ring.
If I wanted a dreamy look to my images I'd use photoshop for that, with the sigma I at least have a choice
Not sure where that came from - data?
Sorry it was the 28mm f/1.8 that is hazy/dreamy wide open. The 35mm is a bit better in that regard.
