40D Playback Issue

Hello,

Wondering if anyone else out there has experienced a problem playing back images on their 40D?  I have tried multiple CF cards, and formatting (in camera AND with the SanDisk utility), but the only way I can review images on the camera is by doing a slideshow.  Everything else seems to work fine.
