HS50EXR the XS-1 replacement?

I do miss my Fuji bridge cam, It was such a versatile cam (S2000HD),....Not sure if the HS50EXR, will be the XS-1 replacement, but now after the X20 announcement and I'm waiting for its big bro XS-2 showdown, and I will be giving up some zoom for better I.Q. for sure, if that's the case...
