X100s - some questions still remaining...

Like many here, I'm pretty excited about the X100s - it seems to answer almost all of the problems that were frustrating me about the X100, and which reduced my confidence that I was getting the shots I thought I was...

However, looking at the details available so far, here are a few issues that don't seem to have been clarified:

1. Phase Detection pixels- according to the brochure (here: http://www.fujifilm.eu/uploads/tx_fujifilmproducts/downloads/X100S_brochure_-_sml_01.pdf) these are cleverly hidden beneath some of the additional green pixels in the X-array. However, it's not clear (to me) whether they are spread across the whole sensor, or are just in the middle. All the demos so far (FujiGuys, etc) have been just using the centre of the screen. They are also used for the split-screen option, again just in the middle...
2. Auto switching between Phase Detection and Contrast AF: how does this work? The brochure calls it Intelligent Hybrid AF. Hopefully it will be just one of those things you can forget about, but I'd still like to know...
3. AF speed - is it dependent on whether you're using OVF or EVF? It seems to be dependent on using High Performance mode - but again, there don't seem to be any details of how this works. I've seen references that suggest OVF is faster...
4. EVF lag - one of the most frustrating things about using the EVF on the X100 is that the lag means the expression you thought you'd captured actually happened half a second before. With a much more detailed EVF, will this still be an issue? It may be that the faster and more accurate AF means that using the OVF becomes the better option, with EVF (or the back screen) for focus confirmation and seeing the effects of exposure compensation.
5. Lastly, and most trivially - will the X100 leather case fit the X100s? I know the new one has a door for the battery/card, but otherwise it looks pretty identical...
