lens firmware update on NEX 5R - how?

okay, been searching here and google, not to mention sony.  how the *BLEEP* do i do the firmware update for the 18-55 kit lens?  i downloaded the update, put it on an sd card and put it in the camera.  been helplessly wandering menus ever since trying to find a way to make something happen...

btw, my lens is already using v.02 - do i need to do the update?
