Maybe this change can be part if a X100 firmware update. I would be real happy with that.

Clearly it can. In fact the ability to set a minimum shutter speed for Auto ISO has been part of X100 firmware since FW 1.0 Since around about FW 1.12, they even allowed you to set it from the ISO item in the Shooting Menu (instead of as an item on its own in the Setup Menu)

But the implementation of Auto ISO in the X100S is nicer.
