Indoor dog shows: lens advice for my 60D

Thanks for the suggestions, but if you read my original post I was simply asking a question about new glass -- with autofocus -- vs. the manual focus legacy lenses I'm using, 25-30 years old.  That's also the reason why there's no aperture info in the EXIF.  There's no electronic connection between lens and camera.

Along the way, people asked for a couple of sample images to get a sense of how I'm doing with what I have, and the kind of conditions under which I'm shooting (no, it's not Madison Square Garden during the Westminster Kennel Club finals, just some dumpy gray warehouse-like spaces with fluorescent lighting) and thus what I might expect with current lenses.

Basically, I'm asking for advice from folks who might be familiar with this particular kind of challenge. Unfortunately, most indoor sports facilities are much better lit.
