A77 Flash Issue - finally solved?
|
Sent my A77 in December for service to Nuevo Laredo.
Main reason was a slight movement of the grip due to an imperfect assembly (had been that way since I bought it but couldn't bear to be without the cam until I got the A99).
I also asked them to check the AEL function (wouldn't toggle sometimes) and the known flash issues.
It took Sony almost a month to get me the camera back, since they were waiting for 3 parts. Since the camera came back with no description of the work done, I am planning on talking with Sony in the coming days...
Anyway, first test shots with the in camera flash and the HVL43 are very promising and usable. And there is no comparison to the massive overexposure that I used to have (and have to compensate) before sending it in...
Just thought it might be of interest...
PS: also tried it with the Min. 2000xi, which works well with the A99. With the A77, massive overexposure, but that is something that I couldn't expect to work.
