24mm f1.4 Nikkor

35mm f1.4 Nikkor

50mm f1.4 Nikkor

85mm f1.4 Nikkor -> to here is ~$6700 US

200mm f2.0 Nikkor + ~$5800 US

Zooms:

14-24mm f2.8 Nikkor

24-70mm f2.8 Nikkor

70-200mm f2.8 Nikkor -> to here is ~$6300 US

All comments welcome!

I'd be concerned if the d800 and d4 have the accuracy to shoot any of those fast primes wide open and focus them with any sort of repeat ability! Sorry to be blunt but try them at medium to long distance wide open...not so good.

Yeah i am seeing quite a bit of chatter about this issue here and from reputable experts - unsettling to say the least.

My D800 arrives tomorrow - along with a new 50mm 1.4 - I will post a full review as concerns left focus issue and focus hunting with fast primes in low light as you mention, etc.

If there are any serious issues, its either going back to B&H, or I will evaluate using all MF Zeiss ZF2 glass from 21mm-85mm and 2.8 Nikkors above that FL, or both.

As I am essentially re-kitting glass from scratch, if I get sufficiently aggravated with the D800, I will move to a 5DMarkIII.
