Yeah ...I do agree with you but in todays market you never know.

As far as the comparison (not you but the whole comparison thing now) with cellphones - I don't think it's that simple. If you add in the contract and such, if your buying a phone simply for its camera, well, I figured it would cost me 2000 USD more to get, say, an iphone compared to what I have now ...so a compact camera is still a compact for me. It's an interesting idea, and we'll see how the IQ is (most probably horrible) but at least Canon is starting to think outside the box and thats a good thing.
