Re: The images seem to have a Lifeless feel. I have seen this with Monochrom images out there.

It's both. It's the camera (this is how the images look straight out of the can), and it's the photographers who either can't/won't tweak the images in post. There are numerous examples of great photogs who have great, contrasty images taken with MM's, but not one of those came straight out of the camera looking that way....they all need work in post, which is why Leica ships this thing with Silver Effex.
