Photo rights question

I did some work for a auction company shooting a very large mansion and the "clients are now requesting the photos and all the raw video footage!
we didnt really discuss rights since im somewhat new to all this, howveer i assume with out that discussion the photos still belong to me.
what should i do?
there going to use the images in somewhat large publications such as the new yorker etc etc.
