Recommended wide-angle setup for night action video

Hello forum!

What setup would you guys recommend for filming HD in low light?

I do quite a lot of BASE jumping at night, climbing buildings/antennas etc. Regular GoPro:s do not work at all in these low light conditions.

I met a guy in the alps who recommended I should check out Sony NEX-line because it worked well for him. However I now see there are several models (NEX 5, 6, 7 etc) and would like your input.

I have a vague memory this guy said that one of the older models was actually better than the newer one for low light video, but I do not remember the details.

I used to be a fairly active photographer around 7-8 years ago so the world of DSLR:s is not completely new to me, but pointers in the right direction (especially camera, lens, setting recommendations) would be nice.
