Sony SLT 57 for street photography

I recently switched my style of taking street photos from very "stealth" with my Sony RX100 to quit obvious and noticable with the SLT 57 with the 16-50 2.8  lense attached.

I was amazed by the relief this brought to my feelings on the street. Now everybody could see I was a photographer and I did not have that "sneaky" feeling I had with the smaller cams.

It is a liberating feeling to operate as a photographer and not as a "spy" . Better composition and IQ as a bonus. ( viewfinder and bigger chip).  Still the A57 is a very compact and light enough combo to carry with a wrist strap for many hoiurs.  The grip provides a right fingerhold "bubble" to let the cam hang and relax on your fingers all the time.   The 16-50 2.8  is a real gem that can be used zone focussing ( there is a distance scale on )  very well .  This time of the year  ISO 1600 , aperture 5.6 at a pre set distance of around 3 metres does the job for me .

Feel free to have a look around in my street portofolio . I will switch on the exiff file details so you can see what is made by wich cam.

Have fun.
