Man on a bike.



I try to get uptown often and you will find me during the lunch hour one day a week taking pictures at what we in Charlotte call the square.  It is the corners of Trade and Tryon Streets, and is the heart of Charlotte and its business district.  I only carry one lens, either the 14mm or the 20mm lens and my current camera is the G3.  Here the man on the bike has the green light, but someone had just called out his name.

The camera is just a capture device to take the picture.  For me after so many years of working in a darkroom, the real process is in the digital darkroom.  If you are only taking pictures and not spending time in P.P. you are missing out on what your equipment can really do.  Make sure that you take lots of photos and with digital that is cheap and easy.  Read books on photography as it is a good source of information.  Read what the great photographers have had published, and know that you will be a better photographer if you keep practicing
