It's obviously a UPB! (Unidentified Photographic Blob)

Hmm. I don't know. I'll have to examine more closely. I'm guessing it's ... well, I'll have to go look. More later...

Regarding the UPB, I looked and it appears to me that this is a shadow area in the clouds that maybe was increased with my use of controls and maybe Clarity in Lightroom. I did do quite a bit of adjustments on the image. I have posted below the frame that I shot just prior to the one with the UPB. I copied and pasted the same adjustments to this image that i had applied to the other image, so all things should compare except for the passage of a bit of time (sun and cloud movement and such and my walking closer to the train tracks - 20 seconds between them according to the EXIF data.) The UPB doesn't seem to be in this image...

I hope it was just a fluke, whatever it was, and that you don't see anything like it again.
