Anyone out there using this combo? Interested if it delivers on M43 and the more pixel dense EM5. It was well regarded and small back in the day but the EM5 has a pretty demanding sensor.

I have the 12/20/45 combo which is awesome, but thinking of a tele option, cheaper as I don't use longer FLs much at all....

Perhaps the 40-150 would be more logical option although slower - my sister has one I could try out at least.

Thanks!

I use it occasionally on my OMD and have used it on the Sony Nex 5n. I bought a beaten up old one for peanuts and works fine. Here are a couple of shots of what it looks like wide open, firstly at ISO 10,000 @ F2.8 (yes you read that right) on the OMD and the second one is at ISO 100 on the NEX at F2.8. It's a great lens which effectively works as a 200mm F2.8 on the OMD. If you can get one for a decent price go for it.

papillon, the photo of the basket game is really great! Txs for sharing! Seems the lens provides. I was wondering about it, now you made me want one... q: What adapter do you use? Does an AF confirm adpater OM ==> m43's exist?

Thanks Marc, I use it on an OM to 4/3's adaptor and then the 4/3's to m4/3's adaptor. It's a bit of a kludge but it works fine. You could use a straight OM to m4/3's adaptor on its own. I'm not aware of an AF confirming adaptor but manual focusing is pretty easy using magnified view or if you have an OMD you can use the keyline filter hack as pseudo focus peaking, it does actually work really well. The bokeh on this lens is very nice as well.
