Not happy with Nikon SA

I was one of the early adopters of the V1 system and bought the two lens kit, a flash and the FT1 adapter. So I paid the full price which was around $1900 for the lot locally. I got some great images at times, but was struggling in low light. So just wait for the V2 and a faster lens to be released, I thought.
Now the V2 is out as are some new lenses. But Nikon SA have decided to stop selling the 1 system in SA. I can of course import myself, but then I will have no local warranty.
Already there is dumping taking place with the retailers selling for way less than half price. So I sold the lot for what I could get for it after only 14 months.
I suppose the reason they are withdrawing the product is due to poor sales. But at the inflated local pricing it had little chance. Especially when a V1 with 10-30 lens was selling for more than a Canon 650D with kit lens.
My problem is not that the J2 and V2 has caused price drops on the J1 and V1. That is normal. My problem is that the local agents have dropped the product completely. If Nikon SA has no faith in the product, why should I?
Now what? I need a compact camera with viewfinder and good low light performance. I also need a D300s replacement with a DX sensor and high frame rate and decent buffer for wildlife. Perhaps CES will bring some good news. The Fuji X20 is looking interesting....
