The issue is not just coming back after 2000 shots only. It can show up right after the cleaning. So lets say you clean at 12am the night before a studio shoot or a wedding. You start your day off and if it is a wedding you will be shooting 700-1700 shots and at times by 200 shots you are already getting nasty spots at even f5.6 so by 2000 your sensor is covered with debris.

Now lets say you have another wedding that is booked right after with no hreaks in between....now what? Cant stop in the middle of the road and do a wet clean or how about at the next brides house? You want me to do a wet cleaning at her house or maybe I can pull over on the side of the road in the clean enviorment of my car (sarcasm) and do that? Or what about a full day going from one studio shoot the next? clean every 200 shots? Maybe I can clean after each 50 cause that happens too. My point is just cause you can clean it with shooting family photos for a 30 minute party or 15 photos of your cat sleeping, does not mean you can clean it when using it in every situation. No NIKON or CANON dslr I have owned behaves like this nor is it normal IMHO. I dont have an issue cleaning my cameras if it is within what is normal for a DSLR but a camera cleaned the night before should not be covered in debris within 200 shots. My issue is not the same as every nikon D600 and yes it is BAD but please dont make it into a small thing. My attitude would be great if I did not have to touch up spots on hundreds of photos from every wedding, event or extensive studio shoot I do in the near future with the D600. It is not okay and it is not about having a positive prespective like "hey its okay". I have well over 12,000 shutter count and yes the internal debris issue may slow down over time but this is not what anyone should expect to be the standard.
