Actually from a marketing standpoint they shouldn't be this short sighted. People who invest thousands into a system only to be left high and dry as the company shift gears to a different mount/focus system aren't likely to ever buy olympus products again nor would they recommend them.

This isn't like the film days when you could put the latest film into a old body and get the same IQ, just less bells and whistles. IMHO the DZ lenses are some of the best made but they have always been a generation or two behind in the sensor dept. They had a chance to do something great with this newest sensor but as we all know, they simply quit making 4/3 mount bodies. As others have posted, once you see what you -can- do with these newest sensors, you are definitely crippling yourself using an older model.
