Gitzo 2542T vs 1542T

I'm having trouble finding information on the 2542T. From the Gitzo website it has a higher weight rating and weighs a fraction of a pound more than the 1541/1542T. It also costs more money.
Has anybody seen one of these? Does it have thicker legs and higher stability?
