I thought my new D600 had dust/oil spots in a direct sunlight shot I took at sunset.  Then I cleaned my monitor...  I think this issue, while a real concern, is vastly overblown.  Everyone says "here test your camera for dust by shooting a white card at F22 and then crank contrast to max and and and..."  My plan is to run the shutter count up to 2k or so before "shooting on bright days at small apertures" happens this summer and get it cleaned once, from what the lensrentals guys are saying the problem drops off after that point.
