I have an OM-D that came with the 12-50.  I also have a 14-42R from my E-PL2.  I made the mistake of renting a Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8 to try out for a week. I was now hooked on what a sharp lens this was. I really became disappointed in the Olympus lenses I have.  I couldn't purchase the 12-35 at the time and started researching what alternatives were out there.  I got a used Olympus 14-54 MkII off of ebay with the MMF-2 adapter as well.  This turned out to be a good answer for me.  The Olympus 4/3 lenses are incredibly sharp.  As the Mark II version of the 14-54 supports CDAF, it works quite well with my OM-D.  it does not focus as fast as the native m43 lenses and is not silent but I find it very acceptable especially when shooting in low light situations.  This is now that lens that stays on the camera.
