This a always an entertaining debate.

Hate to rain on everyone's parade, it is neither Sony nor Tosiba. Fuji manufacture the X-Trans sensors.

Sony are Fuji's 3rd largest customer for semiconductor materials used in the manufacture of sensors. From buffer coat formulas, substrates, solvents to the heavy plant itself and even patents for some physical design and implementation system processes. If you own a cam with a Sony sensor in it and like what you see you should be sending a letter to Fuji to thank them ....

But none of this fits in to the negative rantings of some around here who try to credit Sony for a Fujifilm product. Whereas, in actual fact it is the exact opposite.

Speaking of which, wait for it ....

This is super interesting, thanks for the links mate. Fuji is a hell of a lot bigger and more involved in this than I thought. They are full on into the semiconductor business in heaps of different ways.

ah huh, you foretold the rantings you were going to get. Funny how people get so angry when they don't like what they read and then hammer the messenger.

No worries, good info faras me concerned.

Thanks for your comment rgb, no problem at all.

Cheers
