Posting real evidence would be sufficient to shut anyone up, and if you had it I'm sure you'd love to prove me and anyone else that disagreed wrong. Since you refuse to post said evidence, I think it's safe to assume that it doesn't exist. The generic links you posted above, and the follow-on conclusion, are what's called a deductive fallacy.

By the way, feel free to point out where I've "personally insulted" you. It hasn't happened. Please stop using it as an excuse to disarm genuine conversation.

Edit: I see you've now removed the claim that I've personally insulted you.

People who have no proof often resort to slander so it is not surprising that Billy posted such a claim.  Glad to see he has removed it.

Real proof exists to the contrary.  Fujifilm sold off their fabrication plant and closed down the company that operated it,  in 2007.  Here is the announcement that sensors were being subcontracted out:

There is not a shred of evidence that Fujifilm operates a sensor fab plant.  Billy's slanderous ranting against SONY and arm waving cannot change that fact.

It just takes a thinking brain, and a degree of honesty to know that Fujifilm no longer makes sensors.  Things to consider.  Fujifilm has NEVER had a CMOS fab plant.  Their previous plants were making CCD's.  It is not a trivial change to switch manufacturing designs.  The X Trans is a low volume product.  Sensor runs at a fab plant are typically quoted at 10,000 chips per run.  How many X Trans is Fujifilm consumer per year?  Let's be generous and say 100,000.  They are going to operate a plant that runs only 10 batches a year?  Ludicrous.   Fujifilm simply does not have the economy of scale that SONY and Toshiba have.  It made perfect sense for them to shut down their fab plant because the costs were far too high.
