I'm not intellectual or technician.... but rather emotive , so IMO i think there is a lot of me in the picture !!
I guess I'm supposed to be an intellectual -- having published many books of history and criticism about various arts, mostly music -- but the more I work with any art including photography, the more I realize that it's all about the emotional impact that a work engenders. That's how we respond, that is what's important. That's what art is all about.
