Some people also suspect Toshiba Semiconductor are supplying sensor componentry, however, I don't know of any facts that would convince me of this either, nor do you by the sounds of things.
If you have any facts to support what you are saying I am more than happy to change my view.

If not Sony or Toshiba, WHO then?  There are not many players left.  Samsung?  Sharp? Fujifilm sold off their manufacturing company (FUJIFILM Photonix Co) in 2007.  Further, Fujifilm only has a history of making CCD sensors, never CMOS.  Fujifilm's answers to direct questions about the origination of their sensors have always been highly couched in evasive language, leaving open the question of who fabs the wafers.
