Hi guys,
I'm a budding fine art photographer. I have purchased the Sony Nex 5 almost a year back. It has shipped with 18-55mm lens. So far so good I'm happy with the results. But the problem starts now.
18-55mm has some limitations in close-up photos. I've been searching for a bigger lens. I've seen the Sony 18-200mm and 55-210mm lens. Since I'm a student, my budget constraints held me back from getting any of these lenses.
So here are my questions
1. I've seen other brands' 18-200mm lenses at a far better price. But they all require a lens converter. My options in this scenario are
a) Tamron AF ASPHERICAL LD (IF) 28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 Macro Lens for PENTAX K mount with FOTGA Pentax PK K Lens to Sony E-Mount.
b) Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di-II LD Aspherical Lens For Canon with Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter, Canon EOS Lens to Sony Alpha Nex.
option a is well within my budget constraints where as for option b I have to stretch my budget a bit.
2. Am I missing any technical aspects here?
Can someone please advice me on this? Thanks
200mm without OSS is pretty useless in many situations as you need a lot of light.
Better save some more money and get one with OSS.
