A 200mm lens for Sony Nex 5

I'm a budding fine art photographer. I have purchased the Sony Nex 5 almost a year back. It has shipped with 18-55mm lens. So far so good I'm happy with the results. But the problem starts now.

18-55mm has some limitations in close-up photos. I've been searching for a bigger lens. I've seen the Sony 18-200mm and 55-210mm lens. Since I'm a student, my budget constraints held me back from getting any of these lenses.

b) Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di-II LD Aspherical Lens For Canon with Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter, Canon EOS Lens to Sony Alpha Nex.

option a is well within my budget constraints where as for option b I have to stretch my budget a bit.

2. Am I missing any technical aspects here?
