Here's what I would do. I would start back from scratch (JPEG) and first work on it in Photoshoppe...
First I like to decrease the exposure and offset ever so slightly (-0,0005 or even less) and then decrease the gamma correction (0,97).
Then I go to levels and pull the last slider on the top row back to wherever the the graph "ends" and I MAY adjust the far left or middle sliders ever so slightly.
Then I go into shadows and highlights and most of the big work is done there. Don't get to crazy, though. If the saturation was high I may go to hue and saturation and bring down the saturation -2 or -3.
Next is the most important part, especially in your image. Go into colour adjustment and make slight adjustments for all colours shadows, midtones, and highlights.
If none of that helped then undo that and go to black and white and do the same thing and try for a dynamic B&W (I prefer to add a tone and make it sepia).
Good luck! Please share your results! I am tired of OOC!
