Still Trying to Calibrate ann iMac (Leopard 10.5.8)
Jan 6, 2013

Hi guys,

A few months ago i made this post as i was struggling to calibrate a friends imac running Leopard 10.5.8:

We were using a Spyder Express 2, and in the end gave up. The general consensus was that a SE2 would not work well with an LCD screen.

So, my friend purchased a Spyder Express 4. The results are better, however after comparison with another calibrated machine and prints, the images are too cool and lacking saturation.

We have tried manually setting  the gamma at 1.8 and 2.2 (as recommended for imac's) and also tried various colour temperatures in the range of 6000k to 6500k and it doesn't seem to make the slightest bit of difference.

Does anyone have any ideas, aside from buying a new monitor?!

Thanks
