Thank you, Chris, for the comparison. I always wanted to shoot MF. Now the cameras are cheap but I don't want to go through the scan process.

The camera shown in Dodkin's first photo in this thread was my very first Fujifilm camera.  I shot the GSW690 for many years.  That is how I even learned about Fuji as a company.  An amazing camera with a lens that was unbeatable.  You could easily blow up prints from that camera to 24" x 36" effortlessly.  I have several such prints framed on in my house from travels across the US as well as Asia.

Sadly I sold that when I went digital. Big mistake.  But I'm correcting that.  I bought a baby medium format camera, the Fuji GA645.  A very nice camera that shoots like a point & shoot.  It autofocuses, has a meter, and a pop up flash.  16 shots per roll of film with beautiful results.  But the negative sizes are not the same, being only 4.5 cm wide.  I still long for a big boy.  Maybe when I get to the States later, I'll pick up a GF670. That's 6 x 7cm AND has a built in meter.  And it's a folder.  Gorgeous looking camera.

It's a lot of fun to shoot medium format film.  Takes an entirely different approach.  You cant go out and shoot hundreds of frames like you can with digital.  You need more discipline, more skill.  But I am totally, completely happy when I nail one keeper, because usually it is a keeper of enormous quality.

What scanner did you use? A dedicated film scanner or a flatbed? Thank you.
