X10 -> Problem with Aperture priority mode?
Jan 6, 2013

Hi Guys,

I am regularly facing some unexpected behaviors with the A mode. Am I using the cam wrongly, or is there a problem?

I have attached 2 pictures of the same scene, taken one after the other during a bright sunny day.

- 1st picture -> totally burnt. I have set to the highest aperture (f11). ISO is set to Auto 800. Metering was set on MULTI. What is weird to me is that it is still using ISO 800 for this pict (although the weather is really bright) and shutter speed is only 1/150sec.

- 2nd picture -> when facing the above problem, I have to reduce the aperture to solve the problem. ISO is then changed automatically (and consistently) to lower value, and the picture is now exposed properly.

I was saying that I was facing this problem often. On the other side, in very similar context, not to say identical, the camera can behave as expected.

Are you also facing the same issue?

If so, am I mis-using the camera or is there a real problem?

If problem, I assume this would be a firmware problem, am I right?

Thanks for your help.
