Greyser i use the Lowepro prorunner 450aw, it fits k-5 attached with 500/4.5 with lenshood on, k-5 attached with da300 with lenshood on , a few more lenses, flash and a bunch of other stuff and its fairly comfortable to walk with..
Travis, It's a good backpack, I guess, for BC and other colder areas. However, here in LA, I can't tolerate any slings and backpacks due to sweating as a pig at 90-110F (30-40oC) constant sunny weather conditions. I use now waist bags. And for me they are proven to work better not only in SoCal, but in high temperature and humidity of Puerto Rico and Malaysia.
BTW: As I checked today, the MountainSmith expandable waist bag accept 500/4.5 (diagonal wise placement though :-)) and a few other pieces of gears including the camera and FA*300/4.5 place in separated pouch attachement. It is not as convenient as your bag, but my back is still dry at least.
