Hello all,
First time poster here. I have decided to make an upgrade to my well-aged 300d. I have settled on the 60d as a suitable replacement, however I am having problems choosing a suitable lens.
I am after an all-purpose lens, something that can be used everyday and not pigeon-hole me in to a niche area. I will be shooting landscape/portrait equally and shooting video as much as I will be shooting photos. My video needs will be mostly up-close, as I will be shooting live music almost weekly (but lanscape videoing will still be important).
I have £1000 to spend on the camera and a lens as an absolute maximum.
Any input/advice will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Joel Isaac.
Hmm, since video seems a major part of your activities (50%), you should perhaps look at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-EOS-650D-Digital-Camera/dp/B0089V4CK6
which has new features for video, including the STM lens.

Since you're doing a lot of video I'd agree with this recommendation.
