I have read through all of your comments and have found them entertaining, interesting and educating.

My reasons for posting the question i.r.o. the possibility of Pentax producing a FF were twofold:

• A kind, and trusting, friend let me play with his brand new Canon 6D with a 100mm f2.8 Macro USN IS lens clipped onto it. I was blown away by the quality of the images. and
• I have a cupboard full of beautiful Pentax M and A series lenses from my days of owning a K2, and K1000.
