It amazes me (at times) that people will spend thousands of dollars on equipment, based on 900-1200 pixel web based examples.

Nikon should offer you a stipend for sharing your well exposed NEF raw files, after having the opportunity to work with your files (with various raw developers) I find any harsh critcism of the Nikon system to be questionable at best and is usually ignored.
