Does the 7D Refocus Every Frame in an 8fps Burst?

I notice something confusing in how manufacturers advertise.  Many will say their camera takes x amount of frames per second but it is often not clear if the camera actually refocuses at each frame.  This may be important or not depending on what is photographed.

So, the question is:  Does a 7D refocus each of the 8fps Canon claims it takes?
