Thanks, I understand your point now. I have an RX100 and I agree that this is an amazing camera. For me, it is even more revolutionary than the RX1. It is so good that I wouldn't hesitate to use it for some of my paid photographic work where it can be very suitable.
As for the comparison, we are not only comparing large to small sensor cameras here. We are actually comparing new technology with old technology. The A900 is 5 years old and 5 years is a very long time when it comes to digital technology. So the large sensor and lower pixel density of the A900 doesn't give it any advantage anymore compared to the RX100.
Just try to compare both cameras at ISO 3200, you'll get even more interesting results.
