Intuos 5 Touch sockets

Hi I have had a Wacom Intuos 5 Touch for some time and just notices two little doors or covers on the side. One has a little symbol like a lens or something on it. This opens but seems to have nothing in it. The other has a symbol like sound waves and wont open at all. What are they for?
